Joint Tenancy
Equal shares of a piece of property by two or more owners. Upon death of a joint tenant, rights pass to the surviving owner or owners.

Judgment
The decision of a court of law concerning the rights of persons/parties in an action. In financial judgments, a lien may be placed on the property of the person/party whom the judgment is against.

Judgment Lien
The decree of a court that places an involuntary lien against the property of a debtor.

Junior Mortgage
A loan that is subordinate to the primary mortgage.
